Be a Buddy Family


Dear Old Greenwich School Families,


The New Families Committee cordially invites you to become a Buddy Family for one of the many new families joining our school community each year. We would like to pair each new family with a ‘local’ family who will help provide a warm welcome to them. We think a little effort will go a long way for those families moving from both near and far.

We ask the volunteering family to do the following:

  • Call and welcome your buddy family to the Old Greenwich School community and neighborhood.
  • Set up a playdate with the children.
  • Answer questions about the school, events, schedule, etc. Anything pertaining to the school that you think is relevant to the new family – please share!
  • Provide any other needed help in terms of kid-related activities in the neighborhood — St. Savior’s Dance School, OGRCC sports programs and events, etc.
